How ShelfHunt makes money.
ShelfHunt is free to use. Here's the honest version of how we plan to keep the lights on:
Shop links may earn us a commission
When we tell you something is back in stock and you buy it through our link, the retailer may pay us a small commission. This never changes the price you pay — the retailer pays it out of their side. We are joining affiliate programmes (such as Awin and Amazon Associates) as ShelfHunt grows, so some links earn commission and some don't; either way we alert you just the same.
Finders share in it
When a hunter spots a sell-out first and the restock alert leads to purchases, we share a portion of any commission we actually receive with that finder. We reward the person who spotted the find — we never pay anyone to click links or to buy things.
Shared find links carry #ad
When hunters share their find links on social media, those links and cards carry an #ad disclosure automatically, as required by the ASA and CMA. If you share a find, leave the disclosure on.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Ever. (See our privacy policy.)
- We don't let payment change our alerts — a restock is a restock, whether or not the shop pays commission.
- Where a substitute product is ever sponsored, it will be clearly labelled as such.
